Logging an entry
Complete the routine by hand in your Anchor Journal.
Open the routine's card in the app.
Follow the guided session if you want a walkthrough. It ends with Log Entry, which opens the camera. You can also skip the guided session, and after you skip it twice the app takes you straight to the camera from then on.
Photograph your journal pages. You can add up to 10 photos per entry, take them with the camera or pick them from your photo library, and retake, delete, or reorder them before you submit.
Submit the entry. Your photos are saved to your permanent training archive. Automatic Training Summaries, readable digests generated from your handwritten pages, are in final development and will begin appearing on your entries as soon as the feature launches. Until then, an entry without a summary is complete and nothing is missing.
Whatever the state of your pages (dim light, hurried handwriting), the session counts as logged the moment you submit.
For why photographing your pages is worth the few seconds, see Why Should I Upload Photos of My Entries?
Logging without photos
Short on time? Choose Log without photos to mark the routine complete right away. You can attach your pages later with Upload Journal.
Undoing a completion
Marked a routine complete by mistake? Choose Undo completion to take the entry back, then log the routine again normally.
Once you have submitted your journal pages, an entry can no longer be changed in the app. For what to do then, and for fixing an entry logged on the wrong date, see Can I Edit or Delete a Training Day I Logged by Mistake?
Logging a past day
Forgot to log yesterday? Use the date stepper to move to a past date and log the entry there.
Streaks
Morning Imprinting entries earn your day streak. Evening Programming entries are logged the same way, but they do not affect the streak.
On the web
Logging with journal photos is a mobile app feature. On the web, the guided sessions are reference walkthroughs and do not create entries.
Bottom line: write by hand, photograph your pages, submit. Your entry is logged and archived immediately, and Training Summaries will be added automatically once the feature goes live.
