What Happens If My Payment Fails?

If your ENCODED Membership payment fails (expired card, insufficient funds, or processing issue), don’t worry — the system gives you time to fix it before your access is interrupted.

Here’s exactly how it works:


1. You Receive an Immediate Email Notification

As soon as your payment fails, you’ll get an email prompting you to update your payment method.


This is sent automatically through Stripe for security and speed.


2. You Enter a 7-Day Grace Period

From the day your payment fails, you have 7 full days to update your card.

During the grace period:

  • Your membership remains active

  • You retain access to the ENCODED Web App

  • You remain inside The Grid

  • You continue receiving all digital tools and features

However:

🚫 Your next Anchor Journal shipment will not be processed

until the payment issue is resolved.


3. Stripe Automatically Retries the Payment

Throughout the 7-day grace period, Stripe will automatically attempt to charge your card multiple times.

You don’t need to trigger anything manually — just update your payment method and Stripe will retry automatically.


4. How to Fix the Issue (Takes 30 Seconds)

You can resolve the failed payment by updating your card:

  1. Go to 👉 app.encoded.ai

  2. Log in

  3. Open the Membership section

  4. Click Update Payment Method

  5. Add a new card or fix your existing one

Once updated, the system will retry the charge immediately.


5. What Happens at the End of the 7-Day Grace Period

If the payment is still unresolved after 7 days:

Your membership will be paused.

This means you’ll lose access to:

  • The ENCODED Web App

  • Your Frequency Training tools

  • The Frequency Network (The Grid)

  • New features and ongoing upgrades

Your Anchor Journal will also not be shipped until the payment is resolved.

Once you update your payment method, access is restored automatically.


6. Nothing Is Deleted

If your access pauses:

  • Your data stays secure

  • Your progress stays saved

  • Your Frequency Map, Blueprint, and account remain intact

You simply regain access the moment the payment succeeds.


Summary

If your payment fails:

  • You get an email right away

  • You have a 7-day grace period

  • Stripe retries automatically

  • Your journal shipment pauses

  • Your membership pauses after 7 days if unresolved

  • Updating your card restores everything immediately
